RIG understands the importance of the discreet and confidential handling of personal information. It is RIG’s policy to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act (Cth) 1988 (Act) and the National Privacy Principles contained in that Act in all activities of RIG involving the collection, use, disclosure and handling of personal information.
What types of personal information do we collect?
RIG will only collect the email addresses of users of the My eVault app.
RIG will only collect personal information by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.
Where practicable, RIG will make known the purpose for which it is collecting personal information and will collect personal information concerning an individual only from that individual.
We may collect certain analytics and usage information from users to channel our efforts and improve user experience. Any such data will be anonymously collated, grouped or summarised for research or other functionality enhancements to improve the user experience. This data can not and will not be used to personally identify any person.
Use and Disclosure
RIG will only use personal information it collects to email users with information as requested by them ,or to update users on the content and improvements of the My eVault app. RIG gives users options to opt out of all communications it sends.
RIG will not use personal information concerning an individual for a purpose other than the primary purpose for which it was collected, unless RIG or its client has obtained the consent of the individual to the use of that information for a secondary use.
We will not share personal information with any third party outside of Our organisation, without your permission.
Personal information collected or stored for RIG is never used for or disclosed to another user, client or to any other third party.
RIG will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information that it holds is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
Users may communicate any personal detail changes including e-mail address changes by amending this information in the Settings menu of the My eVault app or through the RIG website.
Third-party Services and Websites
Where practicable, RIG will maintain the anonymity of an individual in a database of personal information unless the identity of the individual is necessary to perform a lawful activity.
Prior to being able to access and use the My eVault app, all users must activate settings which enable security features to protect the data they enter into the My eVault app. In particular, users must also setup the passcode lock in the My eVault app to maximise security over data entered into the My eVault app. The My eVault app also has a configurable timeout and lockout feature to protect data entered into the My eVault app.
All RIG employees and sub-contractors are required to sign confidentiality undertakings which extend to user personal information.
RIG is not responsible for any loss of data entered by users in the My eVault app or stored in any external backup system (such as iCloud) whether through a user’s loss of their iOS device, the failure of RIG or any third party or for any other reason.
On request by individual users, RIG will make known to those users the types of personal information it holds, the purpose for which it is held and how RIG collects, holds and uses that information.
Access and Correction
On request by a user, but subject to the exceptions prescribed by the National Privacy Principles, RIG will provide the user with access to their personal information and will allow that individual a reasonable opportunity to correct any inaccuracies or out-of-date information.
A request for access to the personal information held by RIG concerning a user can be made to RIG’s Privacy Committee at the email address mentioned below. A fee may apply.
RIG will not use tax file numbers or other government-issued identifiers, other than the ABN or ACN, to identify a record of personal information relating to a user.
